Scooter P Entertainment aims to highlight people of color through the lens of television and film projects. The "Every Hue" Filmmaker Contest will accept submissions of projects in order to highlight great talent and give the opportunity of distribution of their projects to outlets and an opportunity to have a private premiere where the project may be showcased.

Types of Projects Accepted: TV Series, Feature Films


Categories of Projects



Social Impact:

Social Impact - an original motion picture that centers on the effect of an activity on the social fabric of a community and well-being of the individuals and families. Must be directed, written and primarily produced by persons of African descent. o Can be a feature or a short o Can be narrative or documentary (see these categories for run times)


Documentary:

Documentary is a non-fictional motion-picture intended to document reality, primarily for the purposes of instruction, education, or maintaining a historical record. This is a competitive section and films must be directed and primarily produced by persons of African descent. Must be feature length (0ver 60 minutes).


Narrative Feature:

Narrative Feature is an original motion picture that tells a fictional story or narrative. This is a competitive section for feature-length films (over sixty (60) minutes. Must be directed by or written and produced by persons of African descent.

General Rules:


ALL FILMS MUST BE IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE OR CONTAIN ENGLISH SUBTITLES


  • All content must be directed, written and/or produced by persons of African descent and Latin America descent.
  • All submissions have to be submitted through the official link. 
  • Content must be complete and edited prior to submissions.
  • Content must be submitted only once or it will be disqualified for consideration
  • Content must be owned by the submitter and have consent prior to submitting to the contest.
  • Content must adhere to the total run times outlined in each category.
  • Content must have started principal photography no earlier than January 1, 2020.
  • Primary preference will be given to content that is not yet distributed.
  • E&O insurance is required once chosen and ready for distribution
  • Press and Marketing is the filmmaker's responsibility once distributed
  • Closed Captioning is required for distribution, not for submission process for consideration
  • To enter the contest you must be 21+
